Happy Wednesday! I hope you guys are enjoying your second full week of 2019 and keeping up with your resolutions and goals. I am and it’s feeling so good! Today I’m going to be giving a wedding update! If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I just went to the Bridal Extravaganza! Today I’m going to share some tentative dates I have set for events and where I’m at in the planning process.
So first’s thing first… A VENUE! Yes I’m that girl that has no idea what they want for their wedding. Is anyone else that person that doesn’t dream about their wedding? Well I am! Picking a venue has been so difficult because I have no idea what I envision for my wedding and there are so many! Also Houston is a big city so getting everything in one spot has been DIFFICULT.
We are still currently on the hunt but our plan is to book it soon. On to next order of business, guest count. If you guys have a big family then you have no idea how much guest count is going to kick your butt. One day we just cut off a chunk of people and the next we add them and more on. It’s insane!
Obviously the more people the more expensive so to keep costs down we are definitely going to have to limit guests. The next huge thing to tie this huge knot together is, the ceremony. Ryan and I are both Catholics so we are going to get married in a Catholic church. Because most of R’s family is from out of town we want to make it easy and keep things close together.
Since that is seeming to the another huge challenge we have decided we might have to keep them separate. The most important part is having the church and have our family and friends. Now onto dates!
I’m going to be sharing my Bridesmaid Proposal boxes REALLY soon and I can’t wait to share them with you! I’m so excited to share it with them and I’m hoping they love them as much as I do. I’m planning on sharing them next weekend so they will be coming to the blog REALLY soon.
As far as dates for dress shopping I’m looking in March and I CAN’T WAIT! Sure finding a venue is important and so is guest count but my dress is IMPORTANT! I can’t wait to go with my girls and my mom to try them and see what I end up loving! I’m also thinking of documenting the whole thing so I’ll definitely let you guys know.
My mom really wants to get things in full swing and she is already planning for a date in October for my bridal shower which obviously got me thinking of Bachelorette! This one is going to be a little tricky because I definitely want to do something with either an ocean or a pool. Since I’m planning for the wedding to be in February in 2020 I’m thinking the party has to be this summer.
Of course I’m going to need to talk this over with my bridesmaids and other girls I plan to invite. If you guys have any tips on wedding planning, bachelorette parties, wedding dress shopping, etc. Please leave them below!
I hope this posts kind of helps understand where I’m at and how difficult this whole planning has been! Yes it’s fun to dream and look but you also have to be realistic and have one clear vision with your fiancé which is what we are currently working on.
