Tips for Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

I hope everyone had a great 4^th of July and is ready to get back into the grind of things.   As I mentioned before this month will be a crazy and busy one.  One thing that I’m super excited for is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Today I will be sharing tips on how to shop the sale and for those wondering what the heck it is I will also go over that!

WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?

For those who don’t know what the sale is then let me tell you! The Nordstrom Anniversary sale happens every year around mid-summer and the reason it’s so amazing is because you can buy fall clothing & accessories at a discount before it’s officially out for the season.  It’s a very popular sale every year and for good reasons.  The sale starts on July 21^st and ends on August 6^th.  If you are a Nordstrom cardholder though, you get early access on the sale starts on July 13^th.  I would highly recommend getting the card because a lot of big brands and good items go first.

TIPS FOR SHOPPING THE ANNIVERSARY SALE

TIP #1 Become a Nordstrom Cardholder
So, I mentioned this above but seriously guys! You get a whole week to shop the sale before anyone else! I’ve been able to get shoes that sell out literally the next day.  Also you can shop the sale online and in store so having the card and getting it now is better than waiting last minute.  Plus you can earn Nordstrom Notes for shopping with your card! I’ll link all the information for the card here.

Tip #2 Look through the catalog
If you didn’t know this the catalog is already out on the Nordstrom website or if you have a card then you might have received one in the mail.  You can scan through it and decide what you want to get that way you can search it as soon as the sale starts.  Not going to lie I’ve scanned through it like 15 times and my list is growing longer (haha!).  Take a look through the catalog here.

Tip #3 Get up early to shop the sale
I start browsing online as soon as the sale starts! Yes, the catalog has a ton of things so I know what I want from it but there are things that aren’t in the catalog on sale.  I usually always go for shoes and jackets.  They also have a great sale on coats but being that I’m from Texas we don’t usually get “coat weather.”  Last year I got a pair of OTK boots for $130 and originally, they were $200.  Such a good deal!

Tip #4 Buy it or Regret it
If you find something that you really like and are kind of on the fence I say just buy it! Since everything sells out so quickly you would be lucky to find it again.  Trust me I’ve been on the regret side of things and it sucks. Don’t be like me girl you get it!  If you end up not liking the product you can always return it!
