Good Morning! Notice anything different when you hopped over to my website this morning? 🙂 If you’re thinking did this page get a face life so to speak then yes you are right! I have been doing some changes and still have so many to go but I’m liking what I have going on for now. Let me know what you think? 🙂 So recently I’ve been on a roll as far as blogging goes and I’ve been getting a ton of questions here and there so today I figured I would share some tips that I feel have made me successful.
Now I’m not the world’s #1 blogger and nor the best blogger. I have come a long way though and I love sharing tips with you that have made me feel successful. Let’s jump right into it.
#1 The game is all about the hustle.
When I first started blogging I had no idea how much you had to hustle. I literally sat on the other side of my phone and thought, “Wow! So cool! I want to be just like her! Can’t wait to get that many followers to get some great collabs!” Thought was obviously the key word there. Yes, a lot of companies or brands will reach out to you but imagine the number of companies/brands that just don’t see you. That’s A LOT! If you want to work with a brand sometimes it takes a little bit of guts and an amazing email and you just might be surprised to what they say. Believing in yourself will make you more successful.
#2 Never stop learning.
It’s funny because I was having brunch yesterday with my mentor and she literally said this to me. She’s 100% right and honestly, I feel just the same. Has anyone noticed the crazy amount of changes happening to Instagram? What about the changes that are happening on Pinterest? The new twitter update? Well no matter how “good” we get at our craft; new things pop up every day. New people come in and have more knowledge or the older bloggers have more experience. The list goes on and on but we can’t stop learning because this will forever be changing. If you want to be successful, keep reading, keep watching videos, keep taking classes, and always ask questions.
#3 Thank and appreciate your support system.
I’ve been nothing but blessed during this blogging journey. I’ve been lucky enough to have a boyfriend that is more than willing to take my pictures, even if it is early on a Sunday morning. I have a mentor who has provided so much insight and so much information and that is constantly there for me when I have questions. I have friends who have been so encouraging with sweet words or just being there every step of the way. Family that reads EVERY SINGLE POST (HEY MOM!). And of course, last but not least my subscribers/followers! I get the sweetest comments from you guys everyday on my blog, Instagram, Instagram Stories, SnapChat, etc. I’m glad to know that someone is out there listening and loving what I share. That alone makes me feel successful.
#4 Celebrate your success.
Nothing is ever to small. I remember when I first started blogging and I noticed a lot of bloggers were working with Rocksbox and thought hey I love jewelry, I love the brands they work with, I can do this! And with that thought I did it! They were excited to work with me just like I was excited to work with them. As I’ve mentioned this month and last month have been a crazy whirlwind but I’ve never not stopped to celebrate and rejoice.
I landed my first paid campaign (which you will see soon 🙂 ), am working with another blogger on my first hotel stay (coming soon), have been noticed and contacted by brands I only dreamed of working with, am working with company on hosting my first event soon, and who can forget getting into RewardStyle. This a broad list but I can’t wait to see what else is coming! I’ll be celebrating along the way and hope you will be with me too!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I had such a great time writing it and if you have any tips that made you successful share them so I can celebrate with you in your success!
XOXO,
Silvia M.

I absolutely love when bloggers are willing to “share their secrets to success” so to speak, it makes the relationship between reader and blogger so much more real!
