Yay for Hump day! The days are flying this week and honestly for the first time I wish they wouldn’t. I’ve been so busy with things for the blog and trying to catch up after last week. Also some of you may know that I’m going to be moving out of my current apartment and into another but haven’t found that other yet. Seriously freaking out! Today on the blog I’m sharing a fun red dress that I wore while in New Orleans! For all those asking I will be posting my guide and post of New Orleans soon I’m just trying to go through all the photos.
This shoot had to be one of my favorites because look at the houses! They are so fun and colorful and can seriously brighten up anyone’s day! Honestly the entire city of New Orleans is like a huge crayon box. They have so many beautiful brightly colored houses and it gave me serious chills. I mean the little pink house I used to draw as a kid is there! Anyways this red dress seriously was perfect because I felt like it went with any colored house.
This shoot was taken in the Irish Channel in case any of you want to go check it out. When I travel I try to pack as many colored pieces as I can. If you’ve ever noticed my color palette for most of my outfits, you know that red is one of them. This dress is perfect for the summer and any travel plans you may have. It’s one shoulder and has an eyelet look on the ruffle. It does have a tie around the dress but you can totally take that off and add a belt or just leave it with nothing.
My favorite part about it is that it’s so comfortable and you can wear it with just about anything! I wore it a bit more casual because we were just walking around exploring but you can totally wear it with some heels and totally dress up the look. For accessories, I just wore fun hot pink tassel earrings and used a straw clutch that obviously matched because look at the cute hearts! Since the humidity and heat in New Orleans are very similar to Houston, I just added a hat because ain’t nobody got time for crazy hair! 🙂
I’ll link everything that I’m wearing down below for you to shop! I hope everyone has an amazing Wednesday and get excited because tomorrow is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
XOXO,
Silvia M.
