Happy Monday! It’s been such a fun crazy weekend but I’m ready to get back to work. I seriously never thought I would hear myself say that but here I am! 🙂 So many of you enjoyed my first day NYFW recap and today’s post will be my day 2 recap! Just like last time it will be a recap on the day as well as sharing my outfit! Let’s jump right in!
RECAP
Friday wore me out and I needed to get my sleep in! Luckily Saturday morning, I could sleep in some before starting my day. I scheduled a shoot with one of roommates and headed out to get some pictures done. We shot with Yash, a Houston photographer, and if you ever come to Houston, I highly highly recommend shooting with him! I’ll leave his website here.
After our shoot, we headed to our first of 3 shows. It doesn’t sound like a lot but they were back to back and sadly not all at the same location. We made it to the first show, which was the Taoray Wang show, and we got to sit front row! Guys we were so excited and the show was amazing! One of my top 3 favorites shows by far! I would describe the collection business chic.
As soon as the show was over, we had to rush straight to our next show. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to the show. Let’s just say New York traffic is NO joke. Instead we decided to make a pit stop for some New York pizza. Seriously BEST STOP EVER. After our pizza, we had one last show for the day and that was the Banana Republic show.
Again, this show was nowhere near by so we started to head to the next direction for the show. We were very unprepared for this day and didn’t realize how many different directions we were going to be pulled. We also didn’t pack an extra pair of shoes so we were walking around in heels. Our feet were killing us! We got the next show and noticed there was a huge line for the show and it was already 25 minutes past the start time. There was no way we could wait and we needed a change of shoes ASAP!
We noticed there was a J. Crew nearby so we stopped in and went straight to the shoe section. We found some sandals on clearance and it seriously felt like the lights from heaven were shining over them. We snagged them up and ran out the door. The next thing on our list was some glam time.
Next came Caravan Stylist Studio. This was seriously one of the best parts of the trip! Who doesn’t want to relax, have some girl talk, and get glammed up?! We all had the best time and were ready to take on the night with our cute do’s. We headed back to the hotel to get ready for the RewardStyle and Lulu’s parties!
The last party of our day was definitely the best! Not only did we get our hair done but we got to go to two great events! We decided to go to the RewardStyle party first and it was so fun! We got to meet so many amazing bloggers as well as see so many bloggers from back home. It was great to see everyone while having some delicious drinks.
A couple of hours in we left to go to the Lulu’s party. They had the cutest displays and um the drinks… I mean just look at the picture! We got to drink, eat, and just talk and laugh! Also we got the cutest photos but I have no idea where some of them went which sucks. We left Lulu’s and had to get some McDonald’s because besides a slice of pizza and appetizers we need some substance.
The night was one of the best and we were so happy to head back to the hotel to sleep. We knew we were going to have a busy Sunday so sleep was the only thing on our mind!
OUTFIT
Started the day with a shoot and then changed into my dress for the events at night. Beingthat it was NYFW I definitely something metallic and this skirt did exactly that! I bought this cute velet bodysuit from Express and these gorgeous shoes from Guilty Shoes. I paired it with this leather jacket because believe it or not it was quite chilly on this day.
Later I changed into a white dress also from Express and at first I was uneasy about it but once I had it on I was in love and so was everyone else! The shoes are from JCP and of course my beautiful bag is Chanel. It was such a fun dress perfect for a fun night!
Have a happy Monday guys! I’ll be back with NYFW Day 3 on Wednesday!
XOXO,
Silvia M.
