Good Morning beautiful people! I’ve decided I kind of like Wednesday’s. Okay so technically they aren’t a Friday or the weekend but it makes me feel a little bit easier knowing that it’s the middle of the week and that ladies & gentleman is a HUGE thing for me! So, since I can’t be celebrating Wednesday’s with wine (just 7 more days!) I’ve decided to dedicate my Wednesday to working out and call it Work It Out Wednesday.
Many of you are probably like really? I know I know but I need some sort of cute fun thing to get me through it right? Well by now many of you have probably heard (or seen me tag) BBG or #BBGgirls on my blog and Instagram. Well if you have NO idea what I’m talking about it’s okay a lot of people don’t. Kayla Itsines is a fitness guru! Okay maybe she isn’t but I definitely consider her one. She is the one who created the BBG program. If you don’t follow her on Instagram or have never heard of her click here.
She has had so much success with this program and she posts many photos of people’s before & after’s on her Instagram. If you have some time scroll through this because you will get goosebumps and chills and will want to keep going! I always go to her Instagram or through the #BBG to see everyone’s success stories and to get motivation. It’s so encouraging and it makes you feel like you can and will make a difference and feel better.
So BBG is short for the Bikini Body Guide. It’s a 12 week program that goes over every inch of your body. She has specified workouts for 3 days of the week of your choosing and for two other days you are to do a Low Intensity Steady State cardio (LISS). I love it because even though it might seem repetitive at first it all quickly changes. She throws in a new work out that you weren’t even expecting and yes it does kick your butt.
What I really like about her program is that it’s extremely flexible. If you don’t have a gym membership no worries you can totally do this at home. I actually do mine at home and love it! Also on LISS days I get to choose a workout. Also her workouts are meant to be 30 minutes or less but don’t stress! I totally think I went over that mark when I first did it. On LISS days, you are working out for 45 minutes but it can be something simple like walking your dog or walking on a treadmill at an incline. I mean SUPER easy to remember and with the right tunes you won’t even feel it! Plus almost everything in these photos are needed for the program and who doesn’t have a yoga mat or some dumb bells around their house. There are a couple more things needed but I will list everything down below!
I just finished week 3 and started week 4 and I feel fantastic! I can see some changes in my body and it just gets me excited to think about what’s to come after I complete the entire program! As I’ve mentioned before I am doing this program along with being on Whole 30 and I bought the Fit Tea Detox tea 28 tea pack. I would totally recommend this to anyone who is looking to trim down some or looking to make a change in their life!
I know this all comes with the right time and right attitude but when you are ready and can’t think of what to do or what to try PLEASE look into this! No I’m not being paid to say this I just really wanted to share something that is working for me and that is working for many others.
Let me know what programs you’ve tried that worked or if you are on this program I want to hear your thoughts!
XOXO and make sure to work it out girl! 🙂

That sounds like an awesome program. How have I not heard of it before. I need to go check her out.
It’s amazing!
Hahah, I have that waterbottle. My friend got it for me because I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee pizza. Any kind. All the time.
I use the BBG program. I screenshotted the PDFs so it’s available on my phone in my photos app. So convenient!
Yes pizza is life! Screenshots on your phone sounds super convenient also!
This looks like an awesome workout plan! I may look into it as I’m needing to develop a new routine for myself and working out!
You should it’s amazing!
How do you stay motivated to do it?! I’ve tried the program before and made it to week three, but I struggle SO much with the motivation aspect! I saw results, but the workouts are just so hard that I never want to do it hahahah
Haha I did it in August and got to week 3 and then stop so I’ve been there but I get motivation from Pinterest, magazines, and just myself because I want to make a change. 🙂
I’ve personally never tried the bbg but I’ve heard so many rave reviews about the program. I think it’s great that you have found a fitness regime that makes you happy! Get it girl (:
I’ve heard good things about this program and want to try it at some point. I am currently just going to Zumba, Barre, and hip hop classes 5x a week.
That sounds like fun! I love all of those classes.
Yes, LOVE BBG! I did Kayla’s program my junior and senior year of college and it was such a life changer! Her workouts are intense- but so worth it!
I need to get back into it, but I do not have the motivation lately!

I’m glad you loved it!
Glad you are enjoying her program! I’ve looked at it a few times but never started it!
I hear so much about BBG but didn’t really know the details of it- thanks for explaining it all! It sounds great and love how you can do it right at home. 🙂

Yeah that’s my favorite part about it!
I’m doing BBG right now, I love it! I use the app, which gives you 7 minutes to complete as much of the circuits as you can, and if you complete it you start it over as many times as it takes you to go through 7 minutes! It’s hard at first but it gets easier. I love this post, you go girl!
xoxo
Ashley
That’s awesome! I want to download the app too!
I need to get on this exercise routine! I’m just starting to get into working out at the gym but I’m still not sure if it’s my thing! I love this! I’ll have to look into it!
Yes let me know how it goes!
This is so inspiring! I am debating whether or not to take on a workout plan right now since I feel so overloaded, but i know i need to make my health a priority!

Yeah look into it! It awesome because the workout isn’t that long but it’s good enough to get your whole body in shape!
Congrats on completing 3 weeks! That is awesome! I agree with you about Wednesday’s I am starting to like them too.
Yeah they are getting easier!
I commend you truly in your fitness goals! Your post is inspiring me to do something with my health too! I need to be back in the fitness track very soon! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! 🙂
I haven’t tried BBG, never heard of it. But I like how you can do the exercises at home and don’t need to purchase an expensive gym membership.
Yes that’s a great point! It saves me money!
I haven’t heard of this fitness program before, but it sounds really neat! I love the layout of your website and your photos are really awesome, by the way!
Aww thank you so much and thanks for stopping by! You have no idea how much that means to me!
So happy to hear that this program is working well for you! Keep on keepin’ on, girl!

I have heard so many great things about BBG! I’m definitely going to recommend it to anyone interested in increasing their fitness levels this year. Great post 🙂
Thank you Cristina!
This sounds like a great program! Now, I just need to find the time to work out. I’ve been wanting to do that since I don’t know when. Lol.

Thank you! I hope you are able to find some time to workout!
It’s important to make workout and exercises as fun as you can so that you won’t lose interest in doing it or it won’t feel like a chore! I think this is a lovely idea and I’m sure you’re going to do great. That sounds like an interesting fitness regimen.
I couldn’t agree with you more!
This sounds awesome! Get it, girl!

I did about a week of the BBG after I had my baby and also did the Whole30! I was worried about losing too much weight so I stopped BBG and just did Whole30 but girl, that combo is going to be great for results!! I can’t wait to hear about how your Whole30 ends and how you feel!!
Yes almost there! Thank you!
Honestly I’ve never had to try any time of program I have major fluctuations but due to a horrible history with becoming obsessed with my appearance I just try and stay as healthy as possible and see how it goes
Being healthy is what is most important!
This sounds like a great workout for a busy mom like myself. I like that you don’t need a gym membership to do it!
Yeah that’s a HUGE plus!
Great job lady! getting started is always the hardest part, once you set your fitness into your routine it is easy to continue! I am so glad that you are feeling healthier and are happy with the changes in your body!
Thank you! Getting started is definitely the hardest part.
I love that your theme is work out Wednesday! Maybe if I did the same I’d get up and move a little more! LOL
Haha you can totally use the same idea!
I’ve never heard of bbg or any of this before. Definitely something that I want to check into as soon as I’m able to workout again.
Let me know what you think!
This sounds like an awesome program. I’ve never heard of it before. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve heard so many great things about the BBG! Congrats to you for sticking to this and rocking it, girl!
Thank you Ashley!
This sounds awesome! I have never heard of this program before, but I am sorely in need of some motivation. When it is cold (I live in New England) I don’t want to be active! I just want to veg out with Ben & Jerrys 🙂
That sounds like a dream! Don’t worry no judgement here!
That program seems great. That water bottle is life. That is next on my list. Lol
Interesting! I haven’t heard of this before, but I’m heading over to Instagram now to see those before and after images. I need a new workout program!
Yes check it out! They are so inspiring!
I know her program is great and I have friends who swear by it. It just didn’t work for me. I don’t think reading the moves on a piece of paper kept me motivated. I prefer videos to printable for workouts.
Try the app! I heard it’s great!
I love that the steps are in a binder like that, i need something like that. I really need to try the BBG program!
Yeah it’s something that I also really liked!
I had never heard of BBG. Thanks for filling me in on what it is. Looks very comprehensive. How do you like the program?
I love it! It’s something that works out your body and I love seeing the results on your body!
I love Kayla Itsines! I have her sweat with Kayla app and the meal plan is amazing!
Yeah I’ve heard the meal plan is something to try! I’ll have to try it after Whole 30!
I’ve not heard of the program before. I will have to check it out. I hope it is working for you!
Yes it’s an amazing program!
I am starting with a trainer soon and can’t wait! I really struggle with the motivation part but get into it once I have the routine!
Yes girl me too! After a couple of weeks it just becomes habit. Good luck!
This sounds like a very rigorous fitness program to help someone get right on track. Having a Personal Trainer certainly helps to keep you focused.
Wow you’re getting into it at 3-4 weeks! So awesome! I’ve heard great things about this program and I’m definitely going to try it come the spring!
That’s great! Let me know how it goes!
Thanks for sharing this program. I have never heard of BBG, but after reading your review, I will certainly take a look at it and see how I can add to my lifestyle. Thanks for sharing.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Let me know how it goes!
