Good Morning friends! If you can’t tell by the title today I’m going to be sharing something pretty personal that’s worth everyone’s attention. Always is raising awareness & taking action to help #EndPeriodPoverty. It’s such a great cause and if you live in Texas I can tell you how you can jump into the action and help!
Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 American girls have either missed school or left early because they didn’t have access to the products they needed to manage their periods?
That’s a lot of girls. Just imagine how stressful that time is for you but not only is it stressful you don’t even have the means to manage what’s going on. I couldn’t imagine not having the proper products to help me get through school or any activities for that matter. Not only that but my confidence would definitely be impacted and at that age we should lifting up our girls as much as we can.
Girls are missing out on so many amazing life moments and will always have memories of this struggle. This is happening here in our hometown and as a woman I know that having products to manage my period is a necessity and shouldn’t be a privilege.
WAYS TO HELP #ENDPERIODPOVERTY
Always goal is to donate an additional 15 million period products to Feeding America through the organization’s pantry program. What a difference that would make! I mentioned that if you live in Texas there is an incredible way you can get involved.
Always is partnering with HEB stores and for every purchase of Always products made from July 29th-September 8th; HEB will donate products to local school pantries so that every girl will have products when needed. To make it even easier, you can use HEB Curbside Pickup to get all your Always products.
Another way to help is by joining the conversation! Help Always end the stigma about periods and lack of period products so that our girls can go to school, have confidence to speak up, and have the products made available to them.
Let’s all put and #EndToPeriodPoverty and help Always in achieving their goal! I can’t wait to see you all helping our girls with this so that they can feel like powerful, beautiful and most importantly confident. We can do this together!
