I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday! Many of you know I recently left my full time job and this staying at home thing is so WEIRD! For those of you who do stay home PLEASE tell me how you fill your schedule.  I have no kids so for my momma’s out there please tell me other things that fill your schedule! Today I wanted to talk about a fashion piece that is really hitting the streets hard and reminding me of middle school/high school.  Oh, you know denim skirts.

Seriously they are everywhere! First of all I can’t believe they are making such a huge comeback! I remember when I first wore a denim skirt it was in 7th grade in my mom documented the whole thing.  You have to understand I HATED anything that wasn’t pants.  Now I hate anything that is pants.  Oh how much you grow. 🙂

I found this little gem at Target and was obsessed with it.  I mean it has the perfect amount of distress and isn’t a “mini skirt.”  (Another thing I left behind in my past).  It is the most comfortable skirt I have and the best part about denim skirts is that you can dress them up or down.  I decided to dress mine down because I wanted to relive that 7th grade memoir that my mom was hidden away (THANK GOD!).  Except then I was wearing a pink sweater and white and pink shoes.  (Seriously shuddering.)

Well instead of that look I thought was so wonderful I thought I would dress this down with a button up top and another blast from the past, Adidas Superstars! To add some fun color I added this gorgeous red Gucci bag! Seriously I feel like it just made the whole look pop!

I will be wearing this skirt all summer long because it’s just so comfy and perfect to pair with any top! You can also dress this up with a fun flowy top and some wedges! (Which might be a future post so keep a look out for that!)
