It’s been feeling like a long one but that might because I have so much to do! If you follow me on Instagram you know I will be heading to a fashion show tomorrow and I’m very excited! But there are still a ton of things to do! Luckily this spring weather has been making it all nice and I’ve been bringing out some of my brighter colored spring clothes.

Today’s post is all about a very spring look I did this past weekend for a photo shop workshop I attended. It was great because the workshop was downtown and of course who wouldn’t get amazing views while in the city! Mind you the sun was setting so I tried to take them quickly and it was windy so excuse the hair. I love this look because I figured you can wear it for work & play!

I got this top from J. Crew and I’m not a big yellow person but this one fit the bill just right! I do feel as bright as the sun in it but aren’t we all trying to be brighter now that’s it’s spring. My absolutely favorite part about it though is the little navy anchor. The best part about it is that it’s embellished with some sparkle! (Go J. Crew!) I got it this past weekend during the 30% off sale they were having! Seriously some of the best times to shop J. Crew is when they are having any sale over 30% off.

The bottoms are so fun and lightweight! No seriously if you dress up for work and are looking for some pants for summer these are perfect! They are lightweight, airy, and high waisted. I mean what more can you ask for? It also has a belt that you can tie and style any way you want to. I decided to just do a bow. These are from Express and come in two different colors! Trust me once you try them you will thank me.

The accessories really make me love this outfit! First off, I’m a sucker when it comes to anything cognac for spring/summer, so the purse and the shoes were perfect! For jewelry, I tried to keep it light and just added some Kendra Scott earrings, my Michael Kors watch, and a little bangle!

I love how the entire look came out and I think it’s great for spring or summer! It can be worn for work (maybe change the shoes) and for the happy hour after work! Maybe it’s just me I don’t know you tell me!
