August Recap & Favorites

Good Morning friends! It’s that time again where I go over my month.  Can anyone believe that August is over!? Bye bye summer hello fall! Well not really but you get the picture. August was kind of weird month for me because I’ve been planning on attending NYFW all month and that entailed a ton of work and of course the hurricane that just passed has thrown me all off.  Nonetheless, I feel so grateful for where I’m at and today and that I’m able to share with you my August recap and favorites!

RECAP

I don’t know about you but August is that one month where writing for my blog always leaves me blank.  It’s hard because you have time to crank a couple of last minute summer posts and at the same time you want to get ready for fall but it’s way too hot.  I went out to take pictures for blog once this month which is unheard of for me and is probably why my Instagram is struggling.

I still had a great month full of fun and love (even though I don’t have many pictures for this month).  I mean who can forget celebrating my one year blogging! The ending of this month has been a hard one for me and my city.  If you read my last post, you know that the hope & light in this city is so powerful that it’s hard to not smile.  Yes, we are in a bad time but people are making the most out of it and volunteering like no other.  It’s seriously one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.  We will come back strong because we are strong.  Please continue praying for Houston and the Corpus Christi area.

FAVORITES

Fashion & Beauty

-Flared Jeans-Okay this might seem a bit 90’s but I’m in love with flared jeans all over.  They are perfect with a nice wedge and a cute top!

-Black everything-I bought some clothes at the beginning of the month for NYFW and all I can tell you is that you will see a lot of black.  I mean who hates black clothing?

-Chunky Heels-You’ve seen them all over my blog this year already but I can’t get enough! I’ve just bought some new ones and I’m still all over the trend.

-Champagne Pop Highlighter-I’ve had this highlighter for over a year now but started using it again and am in love all over! You need this in your beauty collection.

Food & Drinks

-Avocado Toast-I’ve been making a lot of this at home and I’m not complaining.  It’s one of my favorite brunch foods but now that I’m saving money I’m loving it a whole lot more.

-Sparkling Water-Again, another summer staple.  It’s just the perfect summer drink because it literally goes with anything and it’s so refreshing on a hot summer day.

-Rosé-Is it even summer without some rosé? I’ve had a glass to many but then again there is no such thing.

Music & TV Shows

-Friends by Justin Bieber-Biebs has done it again and I’m not mad.  Seriously, I’m loving his style and music nowadays!

-Vanderpump Rules-I just binged watch this show and I’m obsessed! Sex, scandal, and drama what else can you ask for?

-The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills-I mean you can’t expect me to binge watch Vanderpump Rules and not watch the Beverly Hills housewives, can you?

Misc.

-My new apartment!-So you guys know I moved into my new apartment at the beginning of this month and I’m absolutely in love! It’s a lot smaller than my last but it’s perfect and the location is amazing! It’s seriously everything I could have asked for and more.
