Happy Friday! Is anyone else ready for the weekend?! This girl is! It’s my birthday weekend and I’m heading to the rodeo today! What more could this Texas girl want? Today’s blog post is going to be all about something I always get questions on. My at home gel nails!
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I love getting my nails done as much as the next girl but I also really love doing my own nails. I constantly want to change my nails so a few years back I decided the best thing to do was to get myself an at home kit. The rest is history! Today I’m going to be sharing the products I use and how I get some inspo.
AT HOME KIT
So the first step to any of this is getting the perfect at home gel nail kit. I’ve mentioned it before many times but the kit that I use for my gel nails is the Red Carpet Manicure Pro 45 Starter Kit. It’s the perfect starter kit and will come with everything you need to get the perfect gel mani.
The kit will come with a color included but I bought an additional two whenever I ordered the kit. The best thing about this brand is that they have a TON of colors available but you can always use other gel brands with the light. The kit runs right under $100 but is definitely worth it in my opinion. Especially if you get your nails done every two weeks.
ACCESSORIES
Besides a million nail polishes, I love to buy different things to make different nail art at home. Things like pens, stickers, rhinestones, etc. A lot of them I found on Amazon and they are super inexpensive. I’ll share a few of the ones I found down below.
NAIL POLISH
Most of the nail polish are Red Carpet Nails colors but I do have a few OPI branded ones. My goal is to try different gel brands to see which one last the longest on. The Red Carpet Manicure Nails brand last pretty long. The lighter colors tend to last about a week and a half and darker colors last two weeks and on.
My favorite colors are Silk Slip (pink), Creme de le Creme (light peach), and Cozy is the New Chic (light grey).
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and were able to get some ideas on how to do you own nails. Remember practice makes perfect!

I NEED these. I get my nails done every 6 weeks roughly. This would save me time and money. I have been wondering how these work and if they actually are durable.

They definitely are! I was also on the fence but I’m so glad I bought it. It’s saved me so much money and you can customize them to your liking.
