Good Morning friends! We are officially here at the last day of the year. Who else is ready for 2020?! I know I am! I’m feeling so pumped about this upcoming year and I’m setting goals that I can’t wait to accomplish. But first I want to share the past 10 years and the top memory of each! Today I’m sharing the 10 year challenge and my 2020 goals! Let’s jump back to 2010.
2010: Sophomore Year in College
This year was all school and party, party, party! I remember my favorite part of this year was that my best friend transferred to my university. Also this was the first time I saw snow in Texas!
2011: Junior Year in College
So many great things happened this year! 1. I made a new best friend that is now going to be in my wedding, 2. I joined my sorority AOII, and 3. I started dating someone new and that was Ryan!
2012: Move Back to Houston
I had some issues with my financial aid at UTSA so I moved back home with my parents for a bit. I worked at Ulta & Bank of America at this time and saved up to move out to my very first apartment! I had lived at apartments at UTSA but this was the first one on my own that wasn’t student living! Also this was the year I went to my first NFL game.
2013: Transfer to the University of Houston
At the beginning of 2013, I started at my new university, UH! I also quit Ulta this year. I took the second half of the semester off because of some personal issues which set back my graduation a semester back.
2014: Bought a New Car
In 2014, I bought my first ever car! I bought a brand new Kia Optima that I literally hit the very first morning of driving and yes I bawled! Also I quit my job at Bank of America and set my eyes on graduating in 2015.
2015: Graduated from University of Houston
Finally in 2015 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a focus on Public Relations. I immediately got a job after graduating and I started working at… UH! Yes I worked at my alma mater and it literally felt like I never left college which in a way was kind of nice! Also this was the year me & R moved out to Houston and my first time visiting New York City!
2016: Started Blogging, Traveled Everywhere and added in a new family member… Bubbles!
The Cougars made it to the Peach Bowl which meant we got to fly out to Atlanta to cheer them on to victory! We did a lot of traveling between 2015-2016. We went back to New York and went to Florida where I finally went to Disney for my first time! Also we ended the year in Vegas. Finally my biggest change was that I started my blog and that we adopted Bubbles! 🙂
2017: Blogging Internship & First NYFW
At the beginning of 2017, I started a internship with a local Houston blogger! I got to help her with different parts of her blogging business and she also met with me to show us some different ways to learn how to grow! I also visited Disney again but this time for my birthday and last but not least I attended my first NYFW! This was definitely the year of learning all about blogging!
2018: Got Engaged!
Of course my biggest thing of 2018 was getting engaged! R proposed to me in Cabo and everything was perfect! I literally love going back through photos and seeing everything from that trip! We also moved to a brand new apartment this year!
2019: First Year Long Partnership + Planning a Wedding
This year was definitely full of ups and downs. To be honest it was probably one of my hardest years but there were some great things out of it! I got my first ever year long partnership! I was beyond excited and got so many great opportunities this year. My blog definitely grew which is always wonderful and of course I spent the year planning the wedding! Also we moved out of the city and into the burbs… for now lol.
This year is going to be so fun I mean I have the wedding, honeymoon, bachelorette, wedding shower, and of course so many more things that are coming for my blog! I can’t wait to take you guys along for the ride for the year! Now for my goals of 2020!
2020 Goals
Financially Prepare for the Future
With the wedding there is a lot of money going out the door so I need to replenish and prepare for everything after it. I have some new things I’m planning on saving for this year and I know I will feel good about it in the future.
Put Myself First
With the stress of the last year and part of 2018, I definitely let myself go in a way I wasn’t expecting and that changes this year! I’m working on physical goals, as well as wellness goals.
Find Ways to Grow the Business
Times are constantly changing to finding ways and changing with them is important. While this past year was wonderful for my business I want to find new ways and new things to incorporate. I also want to know what kind of things you guys enjoy seeing so I can continue to give you something you like!
Group Fitness at least Twice a Month
Obviously putting myself first goes into this but also it’s something that I want to incorporate for this year and that is group fitness! These classes have been so popular over the years and I want to try going to them at least twice a month. If you guys have one you love let me know because I want to try it!
Cook Easier & Quicker Meals
Cooking can be so tedious especially for me. I want to find ways to make delicious and quick meals! I’ve actually been researching some great cook books and am waiting for an Amazon delivery. If you guys have any ideas on books or some that you love let me know!
Try Something New for Date Night
Once a month I want to try something new for date night! Don’t get me wrong I love a good restaurant and a movie but something different could be awesome! This goal will hopefully be shared with R. Cross your fingers!
I’d love to hear your guys goals for 2020 and anything your excited for this year!
